Individual tuning of the Octavia Polift in the RS245 version resulted in an increase in engine parameters translating into a significant improvement in the driving experience. The car is equipped with a refreshed 2-liter E888 3rd generation unit with DLBA designation of 245HP and 370Nm of torque. The drive is transmitted only to the front axle via the new, dry 7-speed DSG DQ381 transmission. The car is also equipped with XDS, i.e. a system simulating a limited slip differential based on the ABS system, thanks to which the power is transferred to asphalt in a more efficient way. Due to the relatively low own weight, the RS can confidently compete on the street with slightly stronger cars. The car from the factory was equipped with an OPF filter (otto particulate filter), which was replaced by a continuous DP. In addition, the car was also retrofitted with a more efficient intercooler and a larger IS38 turbocharger known for the most powerful 2.0tsi variants such as CJX, DJH etc.
Our task was to tune the engine ECU, TCU gearbox and disable the problematic OPF filter.
After a few hours of work spent on the dynamometer, we refined the software to safe values of engine operating parameters. The exhaust temperature parameters have remained within a safe range. For such modifications, individual tuning is a key issue to ensure stable engine operation without fear of unexpected faults. The effect of our work is presented below in the form of a graph from a load dynamometer.
The result of the work is a significant improvement in the dynamics of the car in the full range of engine operation. An additional 150KM and 100Nm added a large dose of venom to octavia. On suitable tires, despite traction to the front axle only, traction is not a problem. In the car, the transmission program has also been modified, the speed limiter has been moved to more efficiently use the engine power due to the fact that the octavia is equipped with gearboxes with very long ratios.

We also unlocked the left leg braking function and turned off automatic gear shifting in manual mode. The shift times alone have also been shortened. An additional advantage of modifying the octavia is also a significant improvement in the sound of the engine. Cars equipped with the OPF particle filter due to numerous restrictions on the exhaust are almost silent. After removing the filter, octavia also lets you know the sound of the car we are dealing with. This range of modifications guarantees an unforgettable driving experience with this hot hat in the station wagon body. The sound, driving dynamics and driving characteristics will delight even the most demanding drivers.
